february 14th

i know it has been forever. some really great things have happened, but i didn't let myself see those because I have been overtaken by sickness, and the dumb little things that can make me not happy instead of being happy.

instead of a list I will just write about things that I am happy about because I feel like it and this is my blog so I can do what I want :)

I am thankful for great friends, for flo and jarv, for them ALWAYS Always always being there. For laughter and fun times, and us going to the bars together? WHAT? when did we become so old. for us being able to finish eachother's sentences, and knowing what to do at that very exact moment when you need it to the most. God has blest me with two of the best people in the world.

I am thankful for Emily Hirsch. Omggg it was so wonderful to have my Mama back on campus if only for a day.  I missed her little giggle she has when she thinks she is being sneaky or finds something so funny.  She gives the best hugs and asks the good questions that nobody ever asks because we are all more used to the dumb questions that don't really matter.  I have missed her so much this year, but it was just like normal when we got to be back together for a little while.

I am thankful for my wonderful family and the wonderful families of my friends.  I have been blessed with awesome parents and great siblings.  I was always surrounded and still am surrounded by great examples in parents of my best friends.  I love getting those care packages from the moms, or getting to go out to lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Dunn, or the cute Valentines outfit from my parents.  It's good to know they are always there even if it seems they are far away.

I am thankful for BGR.  For the awesome friends I have made, for the leader that I have become, and the confidence and happiness it has brought to me.  This weekend during TL interviews the supervisors just had a blast together, I am surrounded by the goofiest, coolest, most strong group of people I have ever met.  I am very lucky.

I am thankful for Joshua.  He is so strong, so funny, so genuine, so thoughtful.  I don't know how he does it, but he always knows when and what I need from him, or even if I think I don't he's there with a shoulder to cry on, or a goofy voice to make me laugh.   God has truely blessed me with him.

I am thankful for Sar.  She is so so so great.  We just get eachother.  I still don't understand it, but its the coolest thing ever.  We are miles apart, but I can wear a #blueflower in my hair and feel like she is with me all day long.

I am thankful today for Papaw.  Even though it hurts how much I wish he was still here to celebrate his birthday with us, I am so jealous of the awesome birthday celebration he is having in heaven today.  He gave so much and I am proud to know that he was my grandpa.  I was celebrating him today.

I am thankful for KLove radio, it can bring me up and give me the just right words or lyrics I need to hear when I am driving to and from places.  Life may get hectic, but those moments in the car slow me down and realize what life is really about.  God is why I am here and why I have all these great opportunities.

I am thankful for a bed to sleep in and a place to live.

I am thankful for a great roommate who gives great hugs.

I am thankful for an opportunity to work at the place I love for another summer.

I am thankful for a precious letter from Sarah Wright.

I am thankful for time to just relax, exhale, and appreciate life.

I am thankful for YOU today. Happy Valentines Day.
