First we went to AXO headquarters in Indianapolis which turned out to be such a neat experience. We were able to see so much tradition and sisterhood in this building.
I loved looking at all the pictures of all the collegiate chapters around the country as well as seeing old pictures and pieces of history that they have collected throughout the years. As with any old pictures its funny to look at their actions and faces and outfits. This was was my favorite of the day. It needs to be reinacted ASAP.
We were able to break up into groups with mixed pledge classes so we got to hang out with people we usually don't spend time with. This was such a blessing and I loved being able to get time to really appreciate some sisters who I don't know as well as I wish I did. I did get to hang out with my daughter all day which I absolutely loved. We see each other some and try to make our weekly den pop runs, but this was good to just hang out for a few hours and learn more about each other and AXO. Aren't we just so presh?
It's so fun to be able to be with the new girls and realize how much more they have with their years as a collegiate AXO. I'm so jealous of all the fun and relationships they are going to form. I hope their experience can be as life changing as mine. AXO helped me to grow up in so many ways, helped me to be a stronger person, and gave me one of the bestest friends in the world. Love this girllll.
Next on the agenda for the night was Farmhouse's barn dance. I was so skeptical of whether or not I wanted to go since I don't know many of the guys very well, but it turned out to be 110% worth it. It was a blast to get to know some more guys and to just hang out and dance and be so goofy with my sisters. We felt a little bit like barn dance crashers at first since we didn't have specific dates, but it didn't matter. We danced the night away!
So baby you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
#themesong
It was also fun because I got to hang out with my 8th grade dance date Tom!!! We have stayed friends through college, but not as close as we had been in highschool. I'm thankful that my group of friends is colliding with his group of friends these days so we can reconnect.
Overall this was such a great weekend that is definitely a top memory from my college career. I'm thankful for my friends, for LG seed hats, for dancing, for Cruise, for Katie's overalls, for Victoria, and for my sisters who have helped me so much more than they know through this last semester of college. Can't wait to see what the rest of this semester will bring.
